As of 3/2/14 all of our wethers are on hold.... we may have a couple more born around April 1st.
Antioch Boers began September 17, 2011 as a 4-H project for Emily when we purchased Romanov (pictured to the left). Romanov was born on Lucky J Family Goat’s farm owned by Donnie & Rhonda Miller of Pulaski, Iowa. We were very pleased with Romanov’s performance his first year and his genetics will always be a part of our herd.
Here at Antioch Boers, we strive to raise top-quality Boer breeding stock. We’ve purchased from top breeders across the Midwest to give our herd a great range of genetics. Our second herd sire, Thor, is a son of HC Flasher, the 2010 JABGA National Champion Yearling and now the 2013 4-H Grand Champion Senior Buck of the Missouri State Fair. Our third herd sire is Smokin Hot Cool Boy sired by CSB Smokin Hot Ruger, featured in the Jan. 2014 Boergoat Magazine.
On our website we’re keeping a journal of events on the farm to give you something to connect to us and our small corner of the world. Check back often as we will post happenings on the farm and animals we have for sale.
We’re located in the NE corner of the state of Missouri in Clark County near Kahoka, the county seat. Antioch was my hometown where I grew up on the southern part of the county. Antioch in Biblical times was the city where the followers of Christ were first referred to as Christians. It seemed natural to us to include Antioch in our herd name.
Come back and check us out often.
