Antioch Boers began September 17, 2011 as a 4-H project for Emily when we purchased Romanov (pictured to the left). Romanov was born on Lucky J Family Goat’s farm owned by Donnie & Rhonda Miller of Pulaski, Iowa. We sold Romanov in August 2013.
Here at Antioch Boers, we are striving to raise top-quality Boer breeding stock. We have purchased from top breeders across the country to give our herd a great range of genetics. Our second herd sire, Thor, was a son of HC Flasher, the 2010 JABGA National Champion Yearling. Thor was the 2013 4-H Grand Champion Senior Buck of the Missouri State Fair. Our third herd sire is QB Smokin Hot Cool Boy sired by CSB Smokin Hot Ruger, featured in the Jan. 2014 Boergoat Magazine as the premier sire in the country in 2012 & 2013. His prodigy had more show points across the country than any other sire.
On our website we’re keeping a journal of events on the farm to give you something to connect to us and our small corner of the world. Check back often as we will post happenings on the farm and animals we have for sale.
We’re located in the NE corner of the state of Missouri in Clark County near Kahoka, the county seat. Antioch was my hometown where I grew up on the southern part of the county. Antioch in Biblical times was the city where the followers of Christ were first referred to as Christians. It seemed natural to us to include Antioch in our herd name.
Come back and check us out often.
